The American Legion Dept. of NC: Legion College

The Department of North Carolina, through it's Leadership Developement Committee, held it's first "Legion College" in the summer of 1985. After several attempts at different locations the department settled on the campus of Meredith College in Raleigh. The college was held on an annual basis at that site from 1991 to 1999.
In 2000, Meredith College was unavailable, causing the college to once again move to a new location. The 2000 and 2001 sessions were held on the campus of Louisburg College in Louisburg, NC. Louisburg is located about 30 miles northeast of Raleigh.
The 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 sessions were held at the North Raleigh Hilton in Raleigh, NC.
The 2006 college was held at the Village Inn, Clemmons, NC

The 2007 session was held July 13th -14th - at the Village Inn, Clemons, NC.
There are a wide variety of classes offered at the college. Classes exist for Blue Cap Legionnaires; district, division and department officers; auxiliary members and SAL members.

The 2008 session will be held July 11th -12th - at the Village Inn, Clemons, NC.
